Heading North.

A Day Spent in the White Mountains of NH.

Welcome back to BPow's blog of awesomeness. If you are reading this, it means you probably got lost somewhere in the tubes of the internet or you were one of seemingly hundreds of people to receive the URL from my mother. No matter the reason for your attention, I'm glad to have you back and I hope to update you more frequently. I have some great travel suggestions for those planning to get away this holiday season and I'll share those with you later this week (SO STAY TUNED!). Now back to more important things –– Me.

I titled my post "Heading North" because it sounded catchy. The reality is though that it's a half truth (or half lie depending on if you're a glass half empty type). I actually headed north on Thursday morning and I headed equally as far south Thursday night back to my house. I decided that I needed a day away from the job search, so I pressured my friend James into an afternoon of mindless driving and the occasional stop for photos or drone flying. Oh, he also gets an employee discount to The Common Man restaurant, so I was mostly taking advantage of that.

I won't bore you with the details of every little stop, but I did want to share with you some of the pictures and drone footage I captured.

First up is a short drone clip from above Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH. Trust me, there aren't many things more nerve-wracking than sending what is essentially a flying computer nearly a mile out over the middle of a huge lake.

Next are some photos from the White Mountain National Forest. We took a drive along the Kancamagus Highway, weaving in and out of the mountains.

So there are my pics. Not a whole lot more to say except that North-Central New Hampshire is STUNNING. I'm looking forward to heading back up when the leaves are fully changing. I also just picked up a wide-angle camera lens, so be ready for some MUCH sharper images. And stay tuned for those travel tips!

Cheers,

BP
