Travel Advice

New Year and New Website! (Well, actually the website is 2 months old..)

So a lot has happened in the two months since I last posted. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I like to keep people guessing about my whereabouts and general existence. You probably thought that I hadn't posted a blog entry in a while because I've been very busy with the holidays and other time-consuming life things. Well – you are completely and utterly wrong about that. In reality, I purposely did not post for exactly 58 days because I knew that it was the extreme limitation on the spectrum of concern. Waiting a 59th day would certainly have led to inquiries and panicked phone calls on my whereabouts.. 57 days would have been too soon and you would not have missed me yet.

So what have I been doing these last 58 days?

Mostly I have been surrounding myself in bubble wrap in hopes of surviving 2016 and the endless celebrity deaths. Beyond basic survival tactics, I launched another website! Instead of giving arbitrary travel advice through this blog like I was doing previously, I decided to create a cheap flight alert site where I send people any awesome flight deals that I stumble upon. It's been super fun, but very time consuming. (Update: Also, it no longer exists because it was way too hard to manage with a full-time job).

Beyond my new website, I have also booked a trip to Norway for next summer! I'll be once again traveling with my travel buddies, Aaron and Meredith, as we take on trolls and kayak across many fjords. I'll definitely be bringing my drone (if I haven't crashed it by then), so stay tuned for a drone video during my next posting 7 months from now.

The holidays are still here, so I hope everyone has had the chance to share in happiness with friends and family. I don't have any photos to post at the moment, but soon I'll be getting into snowshoeing throughout the mountains and I expect to have quite a few pictures from that. My good friend, Casey, bought me a time-lapse remote, so I'm going to start dabbling in time-lapse photography too.

Anyways, thanks for still keeping tabs on my site and for all of the compliments!

Best,

Brian
